Storeperson Grade 3 at Toll Group

Toll Group is seeking a Storeperson Grade 3 to join their Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) team in Wulguru, Queensland. This full-time, onsite role is integral to supporting Australia’s Defence capability through the Defence Theatre Logistics contract.

Role Overview: This position involves supporting warehouse operations, inventory control, freight handling, and the secure movement of Defence-related equipment and materials. The role operates within a fast-paced, safety-focused environment at Lavarack Barracks in Wulguru, QLD, where accuracy, accountability, reliability, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Manage inventory, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing Defence equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Perform tasks under the supervision of a Team Leader, ensuring compliance with Toll Government & Defence contractual requirements, Defence regulations, safety protocols, and operational standards.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
- Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence equipment and supplies.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Utilise warehouse systems for stock accuracy and report actions.
- Uphold safety standards, site cleanliness, and compliance with Defence regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to meet operational targets.
- Work outdoors to deliver stores and equipment to Defence personnel in the field.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Australian Citizen.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline level or higher).
- Preparedness to undertake pre-employment checks, including criminal history, medical, and other background assessments.
- Current forklift license.
- LO License (preferable but not essential).
- HR Truck License (advantageous).
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or related industries (desirable but not essential).
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting and Team Structure: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Storeperson will work closely with Team Leaders.
