AGnVET Rural is a prominent independent Agribusiness operating across nine locations in North West NSW and Queensland, specialising in agricultural produce, equipment, services, and advice.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and approachable Storeperson to join our St George team on a full-time, on-site basis.

The primary responsibilities of this role involve general warehousing duties, including the receiving, storage, and delivery of agricultural products to customers. A key aspect of this position is the maintenance of the yards, shop, and warehouse areas. Additionally, the Storeperson will support other team members with branch and customer service tasks.

Duties:

• Maintain the physical facilities, including the shop, warehouse, and yard areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and presentable to the public.
• Assist with the receipt and safe storage of agricultural products, including chemicals and fertilisers.
• Load and unload supplier and customer vehicles, including trucks, while adhering to safe work practices.
• Undertake Point of Sale (POS) transactions and provide customers with product information to support sales.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service, both in the field and at the branch, by being approachable and knowledgeable about Company products and services.
• Participate in regular branch stocktakes and other inventory control duties.
• Provide regular feedback to the Branch Manager to ensure inventory levels are maintained and customer demands are met.

Applicant Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in a customer service role, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to plan ahead.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• A valid Class C Driver’s Licence and a sound knowledge of safety around vehicles.
• Ability to manually handle stock up to 30kg safely.
• An LF Forklift Licence, or a willingness to obtain one.

Experience in the Agribusiness sector will be highly regarded, as will holding an MR Truck Licence.

An above Award salary, plus superannuation, is offered, with the amount based on skills and experience. A generous staff discount on products is also available.
