Storeperson – Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL)

Toll Group is seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson to join its Defence logistics and warehousing team. This role is integral to supporting warehouse operations, inventory control, freight handling, and the secure movement of Defence-related equipment and materials.
The position is based at Randwick Barracks, NSW, within a dynamic, safety-conscious environment where accuracy, accountability, reliability, and teamwork are paramount. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and work collaboratively with Team Leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching Defence equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (MHE).
- Utilising Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory management and report processing.
- Maintaining safety standards, site cleanliness, and adherence to Defence regulations.
- Collaborating with the team to achieve operational targets.
- Performing tasks in compliance with Toll Government & Defence contractual requirements, Defence regulations, safety protocols, and operational standards.
- Working outdoors to deliver stores and equipment to defence personnel in the field.
- Undertaking manual handling tasks, requiring physical fitness.
Requirements:
- Must hold a current NV1 Security Clearance.
- Must possess a current forklift licence, or be willing to obtain one.
- Must hold a valid driver’s licence (C class).
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence Security Clearance (Baseline level or higher).
- Must be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks, including criminal history, medical, and other background assessments.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A safety-first mindset.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or related industries is desirable but not essential.
