About the Role
As a Support Officer, your responsibilities will include delivering customer-focused service and administrative support to students, staff, and internal teams through various channels such as phone, email, live chat, and face-to-face interactions, ensuring the smooth operation of services. You may be positioned in frontline or hybrid environments, or in more administration-focused capacities involving form processing, record maintenance, CRM or email inquiry management, and student system updates. This position is suited to adaptable, organised individuals who are comfortable utilising multiple systems, communicate effectively, and value accuracy and positive service delivery. Previous experience in education is not a prerequisite; individuals with backgrounds in administration, customer service, or other people-focused fields are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Be Doing
In these roles, you may:
- Respond to enquiries via email, CRM cases, phone, live chat, or face-to-face channels.
- Provide responsive, student-focused support to students, staff, and internal teams.
- Represent TAFE SA professionally and contribute to a positive student and staff experience.
- Utilise multiple systems, including databases, Microsoft Office, live chat software, and student platforms.
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain student and business information.
- Complete administration, processing, and data entry tasks.
- Process forms and upload information into student information systems.
- Transition between different service channels, teams, or sites as business requirements evolve.
About You
Prior experience within the education sector is not necessary. Your ability to work accurately, communicate professionally, learn systems, and adapt to varied tasks or service channels is more important.
You will bring:
- A strong customer service mindset with friendly, professional interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with accurate data entry capabilities.
- An adaptable, hands-on approach with confidence in using multiple computer systems.
- Good written communication skills.
- Reliability, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn, with the confidence to ask questions and seek assistance.
Experience in administration, customer service, contact centres, retail, hospitality, childcare, reception, community services, or similar environments will be highly regarded. Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural, social, or community backgrounds will also be valued.
