This is an active role, involving dynamic, face-to-face classroom delivery to prepare students for careers in the sector. About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and engaging Trainer & Assessor to deliver the Certificate III in Individual Support. This position involves one day per week of face-to-face delivery in Burwood, alongside online marking and support. The role is for approximately 10-15 hours per week over a 6-month temporary contract.

You will bring learning to life in a group setting, employing practical, interactive delivery methods to build confidence, capability, and job readiness. You will deliver the course to a cohort of students from non-English speaking backgrounds, requiring proven experience supporting learners from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging face-to-face training in group classroom settings.
• Facilitate learning through discussion, demonstration, and hands-on activities.
• Conduct assessments and ensure compliance with training and assessment requirements.
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning culture.
• Monitor and document learner progress accurately.
• Stay current with industry practices and regulatory standards.

About You

You are passionate about developing others and excel in a classroom environment. You bring positive energy, connect easily with diverse learners, and know how to keep a group engaged. You are organised, confident in front of a class, and committed to delivering high-quality, compliant training.

Essential Criteria

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher qualification).
• Demonstrated experience in the disability sector.
• Experience delivering face-to-face, group-based training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of the NDIS.
• Current (or willingness to obtain): Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Training experience of 2+ years is desirable.
