Y Schools Queensland Junior Moreton Campus is seeking a Teacher for a 5-week contract position at their Mango Hill location.

Position Overview This role involves supporting young people from diverse backgrounds to reach their potential. Teaching at Y Schools extends beyond curriculum delivery to focus on connection, growth, and positively impacting young lives, supported by leadership, a dedicated team, and peers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver academic and wellbeing programs to students.
• Support the delivery of vocational training programs.
• Assist the Head of Campus/School in campus operations to achieve educational, wellbeing, and vocational objectives.
• Create a nurturing, learner-focused, safe, and supportive learning environment aligned with the curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan, develop, and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise learning.
• Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback, and report on progress.
• Support young people with diverse learning and support needs, including disabilities, behavioural challenges, ASD, ADHD/ADD, and mental health needs.
• Facilitate student success.

Requirements

• A relevant University degree.
• Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
• First Aid Certificate.
• CPR Qualifications.
• Ability to apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs that cater to the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students at risk of disengaging from education.
• Capacity to implement effective, inclusive teaching practices, including the use of learning technologies and assessment, to foster a supportive environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students.
• Ability to implement behaviour management strategies that support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
