About the Role

We are seeking an Early Childhood Education and Care Teacher to support the next generation of professionals in this field. As a leading vocational education provider and recipient of the 2025 Australian and Victorian Large Training Provider of the Year Awards, Bendigo Kangan Institute offers a chance to join a team making a tangible difference by enabling learners to build rewarding careers in Early Childhood Education and Care.

This role involves supporting trainees undertaking nationally recognised qualifications while employed in early learning services. Primarily an off-campus position, you will visit trainees at their workplaces to deliver training, conduct assessments, provide coaching, and offer guidance. A key aspect of this role is building robust relationships with both learners and employers, assisting trainees in applying their learning in practical settings and progressing through their qualifications. You will experience a significant degree of autonomy, while remaining connected to a supportive teaching team through regular collaboration, planning, and professional development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support trainees completing nationally recognised qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Conduct training, assessment, coaching, and guidance at trainees' workplaces.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with learners and employers.
  • Facilitate the application of learning in real-world settings.
  • Collaborate with a teaching team through regular planning and professional development.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
  • Experience supporting workplace-based learning, traineeships, or work-based assessment.
  • Demonstrated industry experience within Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Understanding of VET compliance and assessment requirements.
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
