About The Role

  • Location: Broadmeadows (with potential travel to Craigieburn, Docklands, and Sunbury)
  • Role Type: Full-time ongoing
  • Remuneration: Commencing at $94,772.16 (inclusive of 12% superannuation, subject to qualifications)

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering engaging, culturally responsive EAL lessons adapted to the diverse needs of learners.
  • Cultivating a safe, inclusive classroom environment where each student feels valued and supported.
  • Tracking and supporting student progress to aid them in achieving their language and settlement objectives.
  • Collaborating with fellow educators to exchange ideas and best practices.
  • Maintaining high standards in teaching, assessment, and compliance.

We Are Seeking Someone Who:

  • Is passionate about supporting the success of newly arrived migrants.
  • Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to student outcomes.
  • Is collaborative, reliable, and proactive.
  • Values diversity and shows respect for all cultures and backgrounds.
  • Possesses strong organisational and digital literacy skills.

Essential Qualifications and Documentation:

  • An undergraduate degree (or higher) in any discipline.
  • A TESOL qualification, typically one of the following:
  • Graduate Certificate in TESOL (commonly the minimum requirement)
  • Graduate Diploma in TESOL
  • Master of TESOL / Applied Linguistics
  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Working with Children Clearance (WWCC).
  • A current police check.
  • Certified documentation verifying your right to work.
  • Certified copies of your qualifications and transcripts.
