The Industry School, previously known as the AITC, offers a distinct senior schooling experience for young individuals seeking an industry-focused education. Our program integrates classroom learning with workplace exposure and on-the-job training, enabling students to develop practical strengths and skills for their future.

We deliver a unique two-to-three-year program for students in Years 10 to 12. This program is designed to progressively build employability skills and achieve individual learning objectives, while adhering to the standards set by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). Our objective is to harmoniously combine senior education and vocational training, engaging young people in meaningful learning experiences relevant to the professional world.

About the Role

We are seeking a Teacher to join our Gold Coast School. You will be part of a dedicated and energetic team, supporting our young people and Industry Partners. This contract position for Term 4 will concentrate on teaching Maths, fostering strong relationships, instilling confidence, and empowering students to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver curriculum programs to meet expected student outcomes, ensuring timely and high-quality completion of all assessment and compliance tasks.
• Perform duties in accordance with the AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Contribute collaboratively to the planning, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of quality teaching and learning programs.
• Promote the well-being and holistic development of young people through supportive learning environments, effective communication, and sound classroom management.
• Establish positive and proactive relationships with young people, parents, and staff to foster a supportive and positive College community.

About You

As a skilled educator or an early-career teacher, you are passionate about developing and mentoring young people to thrive in an industry-driven setting.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Current QCT Registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration.
• A current driver's licence.
• Entitlement to work in Australia.
