TAFE Queensland is seeking a motivated individual for a part-time Teacher - Primary Health Care position at its Ipswich campus. This onsite role offers the chance to share extensive industry knowledge and experience with students through various delivery methods, including classroom, online, and workplace settings.

The Role This temporary part-time (0.7 FTE) position, available until 30 June 2027 unless otherwise determined, reports to the Educational Team Leader. As a TAFE Teacher in Primary Health Care, you will influence the careers of future industry professionals by imparting your expertise to students in educational environments. Potential travel across the Ipswich and Toowoomba regions may be required.

Salary The gross annual salary for a TAFE Teacher ranges from $65,051 to $81,432, dependent on educational qualifications and teaching experience.

Mandatory Requirements Applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent; and/or a Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
• Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
• Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
• Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning, and assessment, including competency-based training and assessment.
• Current AHPRA Registration.
• A current Blue Card or Exemption Card (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement) to comply with the Working with Children Check Act 2000.
• A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• A current Queensland Driver’s licence.

Additionally, to be considered for a TAFE Teacher role, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:

• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor.
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor.
• TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
• TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development.
• A secondary teaching qualification and one (1) of the following credentials:
• TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor.
• TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor.
• A higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience is to be provided at interview.

Highly Desirable Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:

• A high level of digital literacy skills across various platforms, including online Learning Management Systems.
• Industry currency with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a clinical role.
• Experience with clinical teaching.
• Experience as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Worker or Practitioner.
