Portside Christian College in New Port is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for a full-time, contract position covering maternity leave for Semester 2, 2026. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with educators focused on student development through teaching excellence, Christian faith, and care.

About the Role

As a Primary Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering educational experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum, utilising the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework.
• Inspiring students with high-quality teaching grounded in a biblical worldview.
• Cultivating a positive and restorative classroom environment that embodies the College's KARR values: kindness, agency, respect, and responsiveness.
• Collaborating with colleagues, families, and Student Wellbeing and Inclusion teams to support each student's progress and success.
• Participating in the College community's Christian life.

About You

The successful applicant will:

• Be a committed Christian with active participation in a local church, supporting the College's Statement of Faith.
• Hold, or be eligible for, South Australian Teacher Registration.
• Possess a Bachelor of Education qualification; previous teaching experience is highly regarded.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Show a passion for student learning, wellbeing, and ongoing professional development.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check, First Aid certification, and RRHAN-EC certification.
