At Endeavour Group, we are passionate about bringing people together through our diverse portfolio, including Dan Murphy’s, BWS, ALH Hotels, and Pinnacle Drinks. We foster a culture of shared passion for our products and industry, inspiring us to innovate and create new experiences for our customers and teams across Australia. We welcome individuals who thrive on positive energy.

In this role, you will interpret data and insights to inform recommendations and decisions, contributing to how Endeavour Group collaborates with its trade partners, transforming interactions into high-value, future-fit partnerships. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Relationships Manager, you will enable data-led decision-making by developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, datasets, and tools that track core trading metrics across categories and channels.

You will collaborate with Category, Merchandise Value (pricing), Finance, and Data teams to ensure fit-for-purpose reporting, utilising it to inform and elevate core merchandise processes, including commercial planning, cost governance (e.g., the CPI process), and trade partner dialogue. By driving data quality, process improvement, and clear communication, you will equip the Merchandise function with the insights needed to optimise value, manage risk, and deliver profitable growth.

Trade Analytics Manager Responsibilities:

  • Reporting & Dashboard Governance:
  • Develop, maintain, and govern standard reporting tools and dashboards to track supplier cost movements and trading KPIs.
  • Standardise reporting across categories and banners to ensure cross-brand consistency.
  • Automate manual reporting processes where possible.
  • Maintain documentation of reporting logic and data definitions.
  • Supplier Cost & Value Management:
  • Manage the end-to-end process for supplier cost changes, including validating submissions, developing negotiation playbooks, and ensuring accurate implementation (e.g., the CPI Process).
  • Influence the rhythm of commercial dialogues to drive value creation.
  • Data Quality & Continuous Improvement:
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across all merchandise reporting by collaborating with data teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Identify reporting improvements to drive process efficiency.
  • Gather feedback to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training:
  • Act as the central contact for merchandise reporting standards, partnering with Data, Analytics & Insights (DA&I) and Finance teams to align on consistent data definitions.
  • Share actionable insights with stakeholders.
  • Support effective training to drive tool adoption.
  • Strategic Planning & Transformation:
  • Support merchandise transformation initiatives by streamlining reporting workflows and embedding scalable solutions.
  • Embed performance tracking frameworks that align with long-term Joint Business Plans (JBPs).

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with preferred exposure to P&L in an FMCG environment.
  • Degree qualified in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
  • Strong data analysis and modeling skills to synthesise large volumes of data from various sources.
  • Strong experience with financial systems (e.g., Excel, Google Suite).
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau.
  • Experience with SQL is highly desirable.
  • A robust understanding of retail drivers (sales, margin, promotions, supplier terms, COGS, gross profit, ROI) to successfully translate complex data into actionable commercial insights.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills to make the complex simple for a broad audience.
  • Ability to ensure approach and output are simple, structured, accurate, and robust.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders within a matrix structure and build trusted relationships across teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to ensure outputs are simple, structured, accurate, and robust.
  • Ability to successfully prioritise team efforts to support business requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • An exclusive discount card for ALH Hotels, pubs & accommodation, BWS, Dan Murphy’s, and other Endeavour Group brands.
  • Through our partnership with Woolworths, enjoy discounts at Woolworths supermarkets and BIG W.
  • Access to a range of free services to support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
