Trainer & Assessor - Individual Support

InterCare is seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer and Assessor to join our expanding team. You will deliver the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support from our Springwood training campus.
This is a casual position with a regular teaching roster of two days per week, including regular Saturday teaching. Opportunities exist for additional classes based on student demand and organisational growth. Additional weekday, evening, and online delivery opportunities may also become available.

About the Role As a Trainer and Assessor, you will deliver engaging and compliant training while supporting students throughout their learning journey. This role offers more than classroom delivery. As InterCare continues to grow, there are opportunities to increase your hours through additional training and student support activities. Depending on your experience and availability, additional work may include:
- Classroom training (day, evening, and Saturday classes)
- Online training delivery
- Student support sessions
- Assessment marking
- Workplace visits and student workplace support
- Practical skills assessments
- Additional classes as student numbers grow
You will work closely with our Training, Work Placement, and Compliance teams to ensure students receive an exceptional learning experience and achieve successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support qualification.
- Facilitate engaging classroom, practical, and online learning sessions.
- Provide high-quality student support and mentoring.
- Assess student competency and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
- Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with the Standards for RTOs and InterCare policies and procedures.
- Maintain vocational competency and industry currency.
- Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with the wider InterCare team.
About You You are passionate about helping students succeed and enjoy sharing your industry knowledge. You are organised, professional, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality training and excellent student outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or a higher relevant qualification).
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an equivalent current training and assessment qualification.
- Minimum of 12 months' recent industry experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Aged Care
- Disability Support
- Home and Community Care
- Demonstrated vocational competency and current industry currency.
- Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
- Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (or ability to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
- Strong commitment to quality training, student support, and compliance.
