Job Description

Venue Operations Officer

State Sport Centres Albert Park Part-time, Onsite

Unlike other major international standard venues that host sport and entertainment events, SSCT venues also provide access for users at all levels, from elite and professional athletes to school and community participants, seven days a week, up to 16 hours a day. Through this provision of access for all, SSCT makes a unique and significant contribution to Victoria’s sport sector. Four Workplace Values underpin the work we do: Teamwork, Safety, Excellence & Respect.

  • Preparing and delivering event and booking set-ups and pack-downs across MSAC and Parkville (SNHC), ensuring all configurations meet event requirements and safety standards.
  • Supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality venue operations through equipment movement, maintenance assistance, and presentation of spaces.
  • Collaborating with supervisors, event teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
  • Maintaining clean, organised, and safe sporting and operational environments for athletes, patrons, and community users.
  • Working flexibly across multiple venues, supporting events and operations at both MSAC and Parkville as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in sports, events, or venue operations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform manual handling and physical tasks.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and safety standards.
