The Victorian State Sport Centres Trust (SSCT) is responsible for the operation and upkeep of over $1 billion in assets, encompassing four of Australia's largest multi-sport venues: the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), the State Netball and Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium (which includes the State Athletics Centre), and Knox Regional Sports Park (which includes the State Basketball Centre).

Unlike other major international standard venues that host sport and entertainment events, SSCT venues also provide access for users at all levels, from elite and professional athletes to school and community participants, seven days a week, up to 16 hours a day. About the role:

As a Venue Operations Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of operational activities across MSAC and Parkville (SNHC), ensuring events are delivered safely and to a high standard.
• Overseeing event setup and pack-down, ensuring compliance with event plans, operational procedures, and safety requirements.
• Supervising and supporting operational staff, providing direction to ensure efficient day-to-day venue operations.
• Managing risk, conducting inspections, and maintaining safe, clean, and functional facilities across multiple venues.
• Liaising with internal teams, clients, and event stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Contributing to planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational procedures across venues.

Required skills and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in sports, events, or venue operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving capability and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Relevant compliance certifications (First Aid, CPR, Working with Children Check) and Australian working rights.
