Company: AMES Australia Location: Werribee Work Type: Casual Salary: Hourly rate from $60.83 to $67.51 (dependent on experience) plus 12% superannuation. On-site: On-site

AMES Australia is seeking a casual Vocational Education and Training (VET) Trainer to join our Werribee Education site. This role involves delivering training and assessment in compliance with the Vocational Training Framework, specifically teaching Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. This position falls under the Education Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training and assessment compliant with the Vocational Training Framework.
  • Teach Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Deliver practical and innovative training tailored to adult learners from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
  • Oversee the operations of small work groups.

Requirements:

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122).
  • Relevant vocational qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), along with current industry skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering training and assessment for nationally accredited Industry Training Packages, including necessary documentation and compliance.
  • Demonstrated extensive and current experience working in business.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant industry, encompassing WH&S codes, industry practices, labour market trends, and opportunities.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with well-developed time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability, and professionalism, aligning with AMES Australia's vision.
  • A valid current Driver's Licence for Victoria is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to AMES Australia sites as required.
  • If engaged in child-related services as defined by the Working with Children Act 2005 (as amended), a current Working With Children Check (for employment purposes) is mandatory and must be maintained for the duration of the engagement.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. All offers of employment are subject to a satisfactory police check and provision of a current Working With Children Check (where required for the position).

  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse learners and supporting inclusive learning outcomes.
  • Workplace-based training and assessment experience, with a strong focus on industry engagement, employer partnerships, and supporting learners into employment pathways.
  • Relevant industry contacts are highly desirable.
