Vocational Trainer

Sunnyfield is seeking a Vocational Trainer to join our team in Chatswood. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary range of $70,000 – $80,000 plus super.

Your Contribution You will be instrumental in guiding school leavers through their transition into adulthood, empowering them to become confident, valued community members and pursue meaningful employment. This role offers a dynamic experience, involving group sessions, collaboration with schools, families, and allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome new clients and assist them in identifying their aspirations and strengths.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, their families, educational institutions, host employers, TAFEs, and support coordinators.
• Develop and deliver training programs that resonate with participants.
• Organise excursions, industry experiences, community activities, and work experience opportunities designed to inspire.
• Maintain training environments that are organised, welcoming, and adequately resourced.
• Respond to communications with composure and a friendly demeanour.
• Integrate technology into learning experiences, exploring innovative applications.
• Ensure client information is accurate and current, contributing to safe and efficient operations.

What You Bring While a superhero is not required, the following will enhance your success:

• A genuine commitment to supporting individuals with a disability to engage with the community.
• A relevant training or education qualification, such as a Cert IV TAE or equivalent.
• Essential experience in job skill training.
• Experience delivering skills-based group and one-on-one training; making learning enjoyable is a bonus.
• Experience supporting individuals with a disability, adapting your approach to meet diverse needs.
• Workplace experience focused on participant-centred goals, growth, and independence.
• Proficiency in IT; experience with Lumary is a significant advantage, as is the ability to adapt to various client platforms.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Knowledge of the NDIS and experience within the sector.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Working With Children Check.
• National Criminal History Record Check.
