Warehouse Assistant - Coast Distributors

Coast Distributors, a prominent supplier of commercial ice machines, is seeking a committed and dependable Warehouse Assistant for our Berkeley, NSW facility. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager.

This position offers a chance to actively participate in daily warehouse and shipping functions, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold the precision and effectiveness of our operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Picking and packing customer orders utilizing an RF scanner system.
• Loading and unloading shipment containers.
• Conducting inspections and quality control of products before dispatch.
• Plugging and leading ice machines (comprehensive training will be supplied).
• Participating in annual stocktakes.
• Performing deliveries and pickups of ice machines and associated parts.
• Ensuring adherence to WH&S and company policies across all tasks.
• Periodically reorganising warehouse stock.
• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.
• Undertaking other warehouse operations and tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of power tools and their operation.
• A valid driver's licence with an unblemished driving record.
• A forklift licence is essential.
• The ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Computer literacy sufficient for accessing online freight booking systems.
• Adequate physical fitness for the demands of the role.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in task completion.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to prioritise workload.
• Permanent eligibility to work in Australia.

Advantageous Qualifications:

• AC & Refrigeration qualification.
• Preferred certification or relevant background in warehouse operations.
