Warehouse Assistant/Customer Service - Rapid Hydraulics and Pneumatics

Rapid Hydraulics and Pneumatics is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Wodonga. This full-time, onsite position offers an hourly rate of $30 – $35, commensurate with relevant experience.

About the Role

This dual-faceted role involves supporting daily warehouse operations, including stock management, processing incoming and outgoing goods, and forklift operation. Additionally, you will contribute to customer service functions, assisting the internal sales team with counter sales, answering telephone inquiries, providing quotes, and liaising with suppliers.

We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, conscientious, and responsible. You should be someone who displays high standards, enjoys a challenge, and can work effectively without supervision. Strong time management skills, the ability to quickly learn new products, and proficient customer/supplier relations skills are essential. Good computer skills, the capacity to multitask, and a well-presented demeanour are also important.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse duties.
• Provide customer service, including counter sales and managing phone and email inquiries.
• Quote customers and source products.
• Maintain positive supplier and customer relationships.
• Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Proven work experience in warehousing.
• Sales experience is beneficial but not mandatory; in-house training is provided.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Skills in prioritising, time management, and organisation.
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
• Basic knowledge of Hydraulics/Pneumatics and Automotive products is an advantage but not necessary; on-the-job training will be provided.
• A forklift licence is an advantage.
• Must possess existing Australian work authorisation rights.
