Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor

Eco Garage Doors is seeking a full-time, onsite Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor to join our team in Dandenong South.

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the management, maintenance, receipt, packing, storage, and delivery of stocked items within the warehouse. This includes ensuring the efficient operation of inventory management, warehouse activities, goods receipting, dispatch, stock accuracy, and production support. The role is responsible for maintaining effective stock control systems, upholding quality standards, supporting manufacturing operations, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing productivity, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Goods Receiving & Dispatch
  • Monitor and process incoming communications related to warehouse and inventory operations.
  • Inspect all goods received within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Verify that received goods align with purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Ensure delivery documentation is signed and submitted to the Accounts team within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Safely and efficiently load and unload goods using a forklift.
  • Store goods securely and appropriately within the warehouse.
  • Pick, check, and verify outgoing orders against picking slips and dispatch documentation.
  • Conduct quality checks on all goods before dispatch.
  • Ensure picked parts and goods are staged appropriately for dispatch.
  • Inventory Management & Stock Control
  • Conduct daily, monthly, and periodic stocktakes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Perform physical inventory counts, compare them against system records, and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels for raw materials, spare parts, shutters, and finished goods.
  • Replenish stock and inventory as needed.
  • Implement and maintain effective stock control processes and procedures.
  • Organise storage bins for parts and inventory.
  • Identify and allocate suitable storage locations.
  • Label bins and assign numbering systems for spare parts and inventory items.
  • Implement and maintain a location mapping system for all inventory and spare parts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Assist with ERP system implementation, data migration, process improvements, and ongoing system maintenance as required.
  • Utilise technology and system reporting tools to enhance inventory accuracy, traceability, and operational efficiency.
  • Production & Manufacturing Support
  • Supply stock and materials to factory personnel as required.
  • Ensure manufacturing work orders are processed promptly upon receipt of customer orders.
  • Monitor the quality of manufactured products, including assembly, components, packaging, and packing lists.
  • Support production activities through accurate inventory management and material availability.
  • Quality, Safety & Housekeeping
  • Perform quality control inspections on incoming, stored, and outgoing goods.
  • Maintain equipment in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Ensure the warehouse, shutter division, custom division, and surrounding factory areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements and promote safe work practices.
  • Continuous Improvement & Team Support
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse, inventory, manufacturing, and ERP-related processes.
  • Make recommendations to enhance productivity, efficiency, and workflow.
  • Assist in implementing operational improvements and best practices.
  • Train, guide, and support new warehouse employees.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Factory Manager to promptly resolve operational issues.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Factory Manager.
