Warehouse Manager
A Class Building Materials is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for its Ravenhall facility. This onsite, full-time role offers a salary of $70,000 – $100,000 per year.
This position requires an individual with practical warehouse experience, capable of efficient operation management and team motivation.
About the Role You will be responsible for the daily operations at our Ravenhall warehouse, from goods receipt to dispatch, while fostering safety, performance, and team culture. This is a hands-on leadership position with varied daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Operations
- Overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Leading daily pre-start meetings, shift handovers, and operational briefings.
- Coaching and developing team members to enhance performance and engagement.
- Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), productivity, and workflow to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Managing real-time operational issues such as delays, equipment malfunctions, and priority changes.
- Ensuring strict adherence to Work Health and Safety (WHS), Chain of Responsibility, and site procedures.
- Supervising the storage and handling of dangerous goods.
- Warehouse Operations
- Participating in daily warehouse tasks alongside the team as required.
- Accurately and punctually picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders.
- Loading and unloading inbound and outbound freight.
- Inventory Management
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring prompt completion of all ERP transactions.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Preparing packing lists and shipping documentation.
- Customer Service & Communication
- Maintaining a customer-centric approach across all warehouse activities.
- Collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to meet customer expectations.
- Proactively communicating stock availability, order priorities, and operational updates.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Managing rosters and staffing to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Tracking labour costs and overseeing overtime.
- Conducting safety inspections and supporting incident reporting and corrective actions.
- Assisting with the training and development of warehouse personnel.
- Supporting operational planning during periods of high seasonal demand.
