Position Overview: The primary function of this role is to manage the receipt and documentation of stock within the warehouse. This includes ensuring accurate daily completion of documentation, labelling, storage, and presentation. The storeperson will also be responsible for warehouse equipment and maintaining facility cleanliness to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting stocktakes as per facility requirements.
- Monitoring and taking responsibility for inventory levels.
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
- Ensuring accuracy when checking deliveries.
- Picking orders.
- Operating a forklift within the warehouse environment on a daily basis.
- Assisting the Warehouse Team Leader with daily warehouse duties.
- Identifying and sourcing material and parts requirements, and documenting these accordingly.
- Demonstrating a commitment to a safety-driven workplace that adheres to WH&S practices and promotes excellent teamwork.
Candidate Profile:
- A proven capacity for organising and prioritising tasks, with flexibility and resourcefulness.
- High-reach experience is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience operating a high-reach forklift.
- The ability to work unsupervised and function as a hands-on team player.
- A focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
- Certificate III in Logistics or Warehousing is desirable.
- A driver's licence is advantageous.
- A forklift licence is essential.
- Previous experience in an industrial environment is desirable.
