WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Paddock to Port is a diverse transport and warehousing enterprise situated in Laverton North. Due to recent business growth, we are seeking a WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR to direct warehouse operations.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the warehouse, including team management and ensuring a smooth workflow. A strong grasp of machinery operation and production flow is essential for managing the warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logistics and Supply Chain:
• Manage the movement of steel products from wharf to unpack to final delivery.
• Coordinate with logistics providers.
• Ensure distribution is timely and efficient.
• Inventory and Procurement:
• Oversee inventory control to ensure accurate product dispatch.
• Quality and Safety:
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures.
• Maintain health and safety protocols for a secure and productive workplace.
• Financials:
• Ensure all costings and services are recorded for invoicing.
• Staff Management:
• Manage staff and cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify avenues for enhancing operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer service through the adoption of new processes and best practices.

Requirements:

• A robust background in warehouse management, including experience with warehouse management systems.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the aptitude to effectively manage teams, productivity, workplace safety, and compliance.
• A systems-oriented approach.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• High professionalism and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• A current forklift licence.
• Experience operating the 16-tonne forklift and High Reach is highly desirable.
