Area Building Manager Metricon Homes Brisbane QLD Full-time, Onsite

Metricon Homes, a multi award-winning new home builder, seeks individuals who share a passion for delivering quality, service, and award-winning living solutions for Australian families.

You will be accountable for the overall performance of your designated area and team. This includes driving efficiency and continuous improvement to ensure maximum profitability, quality, and service, while maintaining high-quality work and safety standards.

Reporting to the Building Support Team Leader, your responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating experience while achieving set targets within Metricon’s designated construction zones.
  • Operating at both strategic and operational levels to develop and implement strategies, including implementing training to support Metricon’s growth and leadership in the industry.
  • Driving team performance through coaching and mentoring, and leading the Construction team in delivering quality homes on time to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Adhering to all legislation and Metricon’s building practices and procedures while driving industry best practice in construction.
  • Implementing effective project management with a cost imperative in mind.
  • Fostering a positive work culture where customer experience, teamwork, and staff development are paramount.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience within the building industry, preferably in the volume new home environment, and a solid understanding of current building regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business strategies to achieve set deadlines and targets, business unit revenue, and business KPIs.
  • A strong working knowledge of project management systems.
  • Proven experience managing teams with a fast-paced and time-critical focus.
  • Previous experience working with and implementing quality assurance systems to Australian standards.
  • Strong commercial acumen with professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach in people management while leading and mentoring a large workforce.
