Assistant Project Manager
Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This full-time, onsite role is based in Sydney NSW, with a salary range of $125,000 – $140,000 per year.
This position is predominantly office-based, with regular site visits required. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Director, Consultants, Site teams, and Subcontractors to ensure projects are well-coordinated, documented, and delivered efficiently through the design and construction phases. This role is ideal for an individual with 5 years of experience in construction project coordination or contract administration, seeking to advance their project management career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Construction Certificate (CC) and consultant documentation.
- Manage authority approvals and coordinate consultant drawings and design documentation for CC acquisition.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Obtain and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Assist with estimating, procurement, and contract administration.
- Maintain document control and drawing registers.
- Manage QA records and project compliance documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and progress walk-arounds.
- Monitor project programmes and assist with tracking progress.
- Prepare meeting minutes, action registers, and project reports.
Essential Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or Contract Administrator role.
- University Qualifications in Engineering or Construction.
- Demonstrated experience working on Class 2 and/or Class 3 residential buildings in NSW.
- Strong understanding of Construction Certificate (CC) documentation and construction administration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
