Job Description

This role involves leading Project Management Commissions, with responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, particularly for large or complex projects within the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary day-to-day client interface, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Providing strategic advice at the project conception stage, including outlining different approaches to achieve client objectives.
• Leading the establishment of project success criteria, encompassing time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
• Planning for and managing quality, safety, health, and environmental issues throughout the project.
• Establishing and implementing effective project governance, processes, and systems.
• Undertaking project planning, including the production of detailed project plans.
• Advising on resource procurement.
• Leading and facilitating the cross-functional project team.
• Monitoring performance using techniques such as KPIs to enhance project outcomes.
• Managing the change control process.
• Monitoring and advising on project finances.
• Managing project information flow between the team and client through regular meetings and written communications.
• Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
• Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, surveying, architecture, or information technology.
• Qualifications in Project Management or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception through operational stages to completion and post-project review.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of all main project management concepts, tools, and techniques.
• Design, management, or construction experience gained within the general construction environment.
• Experience leading project management commissions for medium to large construction projects in the healthcare sector.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of project management experience, preferably gained within the healthcare sector.
