About The Role

An opportunity exists to join Kookaburra, part of the COS group. Kookaburra is a specialist in audio-visual and technology solutions, serving the education, corporate, and government sectors across Australia. The AV Solutions Specialist will be integral in designing and delivering high-quality solutions, collaborating closely with customers, suppliers, installation partners, and AV Business Development Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with AV BDMs to support the full sales and solution scoping process.
  • Engage with customers, suppliers, and installation partners to gather requirements and validate solutions.
  • Recommend AV solutions that fit customer needs, budgets, and operational requirements.
  • Design AV solutions for meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, education environments, and digital signage.
  • Develop scopes of work, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and supporting technical documentation.
  • Assess installation requirements, project risks, and solution feasibility.
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, supporting quotes and tenders.
  • Support project delivery through technical guidance and contribute to the continuous improvement of solutions and processes.

About You

  • Proven experience in the AV industry, with a strong capability in designing AV solutions.
  • Solid technical knowledge across AV technologies, including audio systems, interactive displays, digital signage, and lighting.
  • Ability to interpret floor plans and building drawings with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting the end-to-end solution lifecycle, including scoping, BOM development, quoting, and tender submissions.
  • A motivated, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn, grow, and embrace new challenges.
  • Desirable exposure to CommBox, SMART Technologies, Logitech, HP Poly, Yamaha, Dynacord, Shure, LG, Williams AV, MAXHUB, Unilumin, or their equivalents.
