Your Role
You will be instrumental in the successful delivery of significant, large-scale site projects within our Supply Chain network. In this capacity, you will serve as Asahi's on-site representative during a crucial construction phase, operating at the nexus of builder activities, automation installation, and operational readiness. This is a hands-on, site-based opportunity for an individual who thrives in dynamic settings, enjoys resolving issues in real-time, and brings structure and clarity to intricate delivery programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Asahi's on-site representative, ensuring coherence among construction, automation, and operational teams.
- Monitor daily site operations, identifying and reporting risks that may affect timelines, safety, or quality.
- Coordinate interactions between builder and automation workstreams, managing overlaps and constraints.
- Deliver clear, structured updates on project advancement, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Lead the delivery of Asahi-managed scopes, including fit-out works and skate dock installation.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work is planned, sequenced, and compliant.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes in conjunction with automation partners.
- Participate in site meetings, conduct inspections, and confirm readiness for each project delivery stage.
- Cultivate robust working relationships with internal teams, site builders, and automation providers.
About You
You are a practical, solution-oriented professional who prefers working on-site and being closely involved in delivery. You are adept at managing complexity, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and making informed decisions to ensure project momentum.
You will bring:
- Experience within engineering, construction, logistics automation, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong project coordination abilities, capable of managing competing on-site priorities.
- Demonstrated experience working across cross-functional teams and with external contractors.
- Confidence in identifying risks, problem-solving, and escalating issues as necessary.
- Effective communication skills, enabling clear and timely updates.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance requirements in operational settings.
- Familiarity with automation systems, material handling equipment, or large-scale site projects is highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) will be well regarded.
