Building Associate

T&T Group Australia is seeking an experienced Building Associate to join our construction team. This full-time, permanent role is based in Brisbane, QLD, and requires an onsite presence. The salary range for this position is $79,500 – $80,500 per year.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising construction sites.
• Coordinating safety, site-based labour, and resources.
• Assisting Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors with project planning and organisation.
• Interpreting plans, specifications, regulations, and building codes.
• Coordinating works programs and monitoring project schedules.
• Inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations, and standards.
• Estimating costs and time scales for works and materials.
• Supporting budgetary controls and liaising with Project Managers and Civil Engineers on technical and financial matters.
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with local building regulations and codes throughout the construction phase.

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

• An AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Building and Construction or a related field, or substantial relevant experience in lieu of formal qualification.
• Demonstrated experience supervising construction sites and coordinating site resources.
• Strong working knowledge of building plans, specifications, and relevant codes/regulations.
• A sound understanding of cost estimation, scheduling, and budgetary control on construction projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with project stakeholders.
• Relevant licensing/registration as required under Queensland building regulations.
• A construction industry "white card" or willingness to obtain one.
