Carpenter/Leading Hand - Remedial and Renovations
TradesCo Building & Property Services is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Leading Hand for a full-time, onsite position in Sydney, NSW.

The Role: We have openings for multiskilled carpenters/tradespeople/leading hands to join our team. Working across the Sydney metro region, you will utilise your broad skills on various remedial work projects. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday (40-hour week), with optional Saturday work available for additional earnings. This role offers variety and opportunities for development within the company.
Common Works Include (but are not limited to):
- Door and window repairs
- Cavity flashing repairs
- Leak detection
- Waterproofing
- Ceiling repairs
- Gyprock setting and plastering
- Painting
- Decks
- Tiling
- Bricklaying
- General carpentry
You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting to the project manager, you will either run a site or work with a site manager. Applicants should be motivated and competent to collaborate with a team on projects throughout the Greater Sydney Area.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard efficiently.
- Problem-solve on the job.
- Follow and interpret scopes of work.
- Maintain a hands-on approach.
- Communicate clearly with clients.
- Prioritise safety at all times.
- Leave job sites clean and tidy.
- Supervise and instruct other staff.
Requirements:
- Current driver’s licence.
- White Card.
- Trade qualification with relevant industry experience.
- Experience in strata, residential, commercial maintenance, remedial, and construction is preferred.
- Experience in other trades (e.g., tiling, painting, plastering) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to use a Samsung phone for entering and updating information.
- Experience using workflow management software (job information and timesheets) is preferred.
- Strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail.
