Civil Leading Hand - Protech SA

Protech SA is looking for an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join a client's team in Adelaide, SA. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on coordinating daily site activities and working with a crew to complete civil and maintenance projects.

About the Role

• Immediate start available
• Casual position with ongoing potential
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
• Overtime may be available
• Competitive hourly rates and penalties apply
• A hands-on leadership role, working alongside the crew

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support civil crews on various infrastructure and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate daily site activities and effectively allocate tasks.
• Assist with civil works, including road construction, drainage, excavation, and site preparation.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard.
• Conduct pre-start meetings and foster a strong safety culture on site.
• Liaise with supervisors, clients, and crew members for smooth project delivery.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Civil Leading Hand or in a supervisory capacity.
• A strong background in civil construction, roadworks, or maintenance projects.
• A Construction White Card.
• A driver's licence.
• The ability to lead, mentor, and motivate small crews.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliability, proactivity, and the ability to lead by example.
