Welink Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Design Coordinator for a full-time, onsite position in Sydney NSW. This role offers a clear pathway to a Design Manager position, with direct mentoring from an experienced Design Manager and daily exposure to Senior Project Managers.

This is an opportunity with an established residential apartment builder experiencing significant growth across Sydney, with multiple luxury residential developments recently secured. The company is looking for an ambitious Design Coordinator to join its growing project delivery team, offering exposure beyond traditional design coordination.

The Design Coordinator will report to the Design Manager and work closely with consultants and site teams to coordinate the design process from construction documentation through to project completion. Responsibilities include ensuring the design is coordinated, buildable, compliant with the NCC, and delivered as intended. This role is structured with succession planning in mind, offering genuine mentoring and a clear pathway into a Design Manager position.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating CCs, Occupation Certificates, and consultant approvals.
• Managing RFIs, drawing registers, and document control throughout construction.
• Liaising with architects, engineers, certifiers, and external consultants.
• Supporting the delivery team to ensure construction aligns with approved design intent and NCC requirements.
• Assisting with design coordination, buildability reviews, and project compliance from commencement to completion.

To be considered, you ideally will have:

• Experience as a Design Coordinator working for a Tier 2 or Tier 3 residential builder.
• A strong understanding of Class 2 residential apartment construction.
• Knowledge of CC, OC, and NCC compliance requirements.
• Full Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available).
• Strong communication skills and the ambition to grow into a Design Manager role.
