Key Responsibilities:
- Project Design Leadership:
- Serve as a subject matter expert during concept design, schematic design, and construction documentation phases.
- Assist with feasibility design and store layouts utilising Revit software.
- Conduct store visits, site assessments, and review/signoff all concept designs.
- Ensure our external signage partner delivers all signage disciplines to our specifications and Australian Standards (Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics).
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with Design Managers, Project Managers, Property Managers, Development Managers, and external consultants to maintain quality and consistency.
- Present and communicate standards, foster innovation, and provide solutions for all projects across our Fuel and Merchandising Only network.
- Standards Governance:
- Communicate design changes and efficiencies to our internal team, specifically our Standards & BIM Manager.
- Review and approve all design documentation for compliance with 7-Eleven’s brand, operational requirements, and local codes.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Operations, Merchandising, Safety & Sustainability) to ensure evolving needs are incorporated into store designs as per standards.
What You’ll Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Significant years of experience in a Standards Manager, Design Manager, or Digital Delivery role within retail, commercial, or similar sectors.
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 / ACC.
- A strong understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and local planning regulations.
- Experience managing design standards and utilising digital asset libraries.
- Desirable (but not essential): Familiarity with retail operations, customer experience design, and convenience store workflows.
- Desirable (but not essential): Experience working in fast-paced, multi-site rollout environments (QSR or Retail).
