Development Project Manager
Pradella Property Pty Ltd is seeking a Development Project Manager or a strong Assistant Development Manager for a full-time, onsite position in Brisbane, QLD. The salary range for this role is $130,000 – $150,000 per year.
This role offers a significant opportunity within a boutique, privately owned property developer that manages a growing pipeline of residential and industrial projects. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle, with a focus on project delivery, construction coordination, and consultant management.
Working collaboratively with senior leadership, you will contribute to the progression of diverse projects, including low-rise and mid-rise residential developments and small-to-medium industrial schemes. Your involvement will span planning, design, procurement, construction, and completion phases. This is a hands-on position suited for an individual who excels in detail-oriented tasks within an agile environment where their impact is clearly visible.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, a detail-oriented approach, and a willingness to be actively involved on project sites. You will bridge communication between the office and inner Brisbane project locations, ensuring no two days are alike. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing residential and industrial development projects from initial concept through to final completion.
- Preparing and reviewing feasibility studies, budgets, and project reports.
- Coordinating consultants involved in planning, design, engineering, and approvals.
- Responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensuring timely, accurate information exchange between consultants, builders, and internal stakeholders.
- Cross-checking construction drawings and documentation to ensure alignment between architects, engineers, and specialist consultants.
- Managing tender processes, procurement, and contractor appointments.
- Overseeing contract administration and project delivery activities.
- Collaborating closely with builders, superintendents, and external project managers during construction, ensuring timely provision of necessary information to support the developer's objectives.
- Monitoring project programmes, costs, risks, and overall development performance.
- Cultivating strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and authorities.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
- Providing monthly reports to the Directors.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
To be considered, you will have a minimum of four years of experience in development management or assistant development management, with specific project management experience gained within a boutique development setting. Candidates who have demonstrated rapid progression in smaller teams and assumed broad responsibilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
You will also bring:
- Experience delivering residential and/or industrial projects.
- Exposure to low-rise and mid-rise residential developments, with industrial experience being highly regarded.
- Strong construction knowledge, acquired through site experience, project management, university studies, or similar.
- Hands-on involvement across the entire project lifecycle, extending beyond initial feasibility or design stages.
- A detail-oriented and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple workstreams, and take ownership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A stable employment history and demonstrated commitment to project outcomes.
