Estimator - Civil/Electrical Infrastructure

GNB Energy Pty Ltd is seeking an Estimator to join our expanding team. This role will contribute to the delivery of competitive, accurate, and compliant tenders for a varied range of civil and electrical infrastructure projects across Queensland.

This position is well-suited for an experienced Estimator seeking their next career step, or for individuals with a background in civil or electrical trades, project delivery, site supervision, or engineering/construction who are interested in transitioning into estimating.

GNB Energy undertakes a wide array of infrastructure projects throughout Queensland, including:

• TMR / DTMR ITS works
• Major road infrastructure
• Council traffic signals
• Underground residential developments (URD)
• Overhead line construction
• Renewable energy projects

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager and Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and pricing submissions.
• Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Assessing project scope, risks, and commercial opportunities.
• Preparing high-quality tender submissions.
• Supporting project handover to delivery teams.

About You

We are looking for candidates who possess:

• Experience as an Estimator within civil, electrical, utility, or infrastructure construction; or
• A trade background in electrical or civil construction; or
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related field, with an interest in estimating.

To be considered, you will demonstrate:

• The ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Experience with TMR / DTMR ITS, traffic signals, URD, overhead lines, or renewable projects will be highly regarded.
