NewGen Glass & Aluminium is an architectural façade company based in Melbourne, specialising in the design, supply, and installation of architectural façades and glazed window solutions for various sectors within Melbourne's construction industry.

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our expanding team. This is a pivotal role focused on preparing precise estimates, detailed material take-offs, and fabrication documentation for a range of commercial glazing and façade projects. Collaborating with management, project managers, suppliers, and our internal manufacturing team, you will be integral to ensuring projects are accurately costed, efficiently planned, and production-ready. Your technical acumen and meticulous attention to detail will be key to the successful delivery of high-quality commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tendering & Costing:
• Prepare accurate material take-offs, estimates, and tender submissions for commercial glazing and façade projects.
• Project Planning:
• Develop project costings and production schedules, considering factory capacity, supplier lead times, and site requirements.
• Fabrication Documentation:
• Produce, review, and amend fabrication drawings to ensure accuracy and readiness for manufacturing.
• Project Coordination:
• Manage RFIs, variations, and project correspondence via Aconex and Procore, while liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

What we're looking for:

Required Skills & Experience:

• Orgadata Logikal: Proven experience utilising Orgadata Logikal for estimating, system processing, and optimisation.
• AutoCAD: Strong drafting skills with the ability to review and amend fabrication drawings.
• Aconex & Procore: Experience managing RFIs, document control, submittals, and project correspondence.
• Industry Experience: A minimum of 5 years' estimating experience within the Australian commercial glazing and façade industry.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of commercial glazing and façade systems, including AS1288, AS2047, NCC thermal and acoustic performance requirements, Deemed-to-Satisfy (DTS) provisions, and Regulation 126 / FP1.4 compliance requirements.
