Mayos is seeking an Estimator for Residential Renovations to join our team in Murarrie. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary range of $79,040 – $87,360 per year.

This role serves as a crucial link between our estimating procedures and our field construction teams. The primary function is to generate precise estimates for residential renovation and construction projects. You will maintain close communication with ongoing jobs to ensure delivered work aligns with the defined scope, and to manage variations when deviations occur. This is a practical position for an individual comfortable with spreadsheet work and discussing scope and materials with site supervisors or builders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed and accurate estimates for residential renovation and construction projects.
• Collaborate with the construction team to verify that work aligns with the agreed-upon scope.
• Identify and generate variations when project requirements extend beyond the original scope.
• Provide the construction team with clear details regarding Practical Completion (PC) and Provisional Sum (PS) items, including material specifications.
• Ensure project and estimating systems are maintained with accurate and current documentation.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and trades to facilitate efficient project delivery.

What We're Looking For:

• Demonstrated experience in estimating residential renovation and/or construction projects.
• A solid understanding of PC and PS items, scope management, and variations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under deadline pressure.
• Competence with computers, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Clear communication skills, with comfort in liaising directly with construction teams and trades.
• A proactive and organised approach, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• A current driver's licence.
