Estimator / Supervisor (Insurance Builder) - Nexus Project Group - Caloundra

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Estimator/Supervisor to join our Queensland team in Caloundra. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site work and office flexibility, supporting our growth and increasing demand. You will manage a diverse portfolio of insurance repair projects, from site assessments and scope preparation to trade coordination and delivery oversight, upholding Nexus's high standards.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a capable and trustworthy construction professional experienced in estimating, scoping, and overseeing building works. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and ensuring timely, high-standard completion. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, enabling effective engagement with trades and the preparation of detailed reports and digital system use.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Carpentry).
- Valid Driver’s Licence and White Card.
- Solid understanding of the building process, construction standards, and relevant codes.
- Strong computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working Safely at Heights certification.
- Experience with Prime or other workflow systems is a bonus; tech-savvy individuals are welcome to learn.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting detailed site inspections to assess damage and prepare accurate scopes of work using Prime, in line with building codes, regulations, and company policies.
- Managing insurance repair projects from initiation to completion, involving work from our Pinkenba office and site visits as required.
- Assigning work orders to subcontractors and monitoring their progress to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Performing regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with insurer policies, Nexus standards, and applicable regulations.
- Identifying and processing variations to maintain project timelines and scope.
- Maintaining clear records and reports for compliance, financial tracking, and audit purposes.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers, managing communication and resolving issues.
