GMTS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Estimator/Supervisor for a well-established construction company in Sydney. This company specialises in insurance repairs and strata work, maintaining long-standing partnerships with leading Australian insurance companies and loss assessors. Due to increased demand, they are expanding their high-performing team.

This dual role involves assessing property damage, estimating repair costs, and supervising trades to ensure timely, high-quality restorations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct building insurance assessments and prepare detailed reports.
• Supervise building reinstatement works.
• Engage, coordinate, and manage trades throughout the restoration process.
• Monitor job progress and resolve issues as they arise.
• Liaise with insurance companies and insured parties.
• Organise property access with insured clients.
• Manage disputes and deliver timely resolutions.
• Ensure all works comply with OH&S requirements and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate inspections and sign-offs from building surveyors.

Candidate Profile:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervising role.
• Previous experience in insurance building is highly desirable but not essential.
• Trade qualifications in building (carpentry preferred) or a related field.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Solid computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Good knowledge of OHS legislation and industry regulations.
• Familiarity with current market rates and trade practices.
• The ability to provide accurate estimates independently.
• A current and valid driver’s license.
