PDR GROUP PTY LTD is seeking experienced Horizontal Directional Drillers, Locators, and Drill Hands for full-time, onsite roles in Narangba. The company specialises in complex infrastructure projects for Transport and Main Roads (TMR) highway upgrades, major road widening programs, and Queensland Rail Corridors, with a focus on compliant, high-specification HDD works within live traffic and critical infrastructure environments.

The company has secured project pipelines across TMR, Rail, and major utility relocation programs, leading to team expansion.

Roles Available:

• Experienced HDD Drillers
• Experienced HDD Locators
• HDD Drill Hands / Offsiders / Vac Operator

Our Work Includes:

• MRTS-140 compliant HDD works
• Rail Corridor bores
• Large-diameter and technically complex underbores
• Power, communications, water, gas & sewer installations

Requirements:

HDD Drillers:

• Proven HDD industry experience
• White Card
• MR License minimum (HR or HC highly regarded)
• Experience operating HDD rigs across multiple machine classes
• F5+/ARES locating capability highly regarded
• Experience with recycling systems and drilling fluids / mud management systems highly recommended

HDD Locators:

• Proven HDD locating experience
• Experience with F5+/ARES locating systems highly regarded
• MR License minimum (HR or HC highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of bore profiling and service avoidance
• Experience working around live services and infrastructure corridors
• Experience with recycling systems and drilling fluid / mud management systems highly recommended

HDD Drill Hands:

• HDD or civil construction experience preferred
• White Card
• MR License minimum requirement
• Strong work ethic and willingness to upskill into drilling or locating roles
• Exposure to recycling systems and mud management processes highly recommended
• Vac truck experience preferred

Highly Recommended for All Roles:

• Rail Industry Worker (RIW)
• Safely access the rail corridor (SARC)
• Working in electrified territory (WET)
• Excavator / skid steer / Vac VOC's
• Experience working in live service corridors
• Strong working knowledge of MRTS-140/PR9788/MD-20-173 specifications

What We Offer:

• Salary: $110,000 – $135,000 per year
• Above-industry remuneration packages
• Consistent 50 hour weeks (Monday - Friday) with available overtime
