Junior Project Coordinator / Contract Administrator (Building Refurb)
JRG Recruitment is seeking a motivated Junior Project Coordinator / Contract Administrator for a full-time, onsite role in Canberra ACT. This position offers a salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum plus Superannuation, with the base salary negotiable based on experience.
Our client is a well-established Australian contractor with a national presence, recognised for delivering complex remedial, refurbishment, asset preservation, defence, and specialist construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders across multiple projects.
- Support project planning, programming, reporting, and project delivery activities.
- Maintain project documentation, contractual records, and administration systems.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variation management processes.
- Identify project risks and contribute to practical solutions.
- Support procurement and subcontractor management activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and company management systems.
- Assist with project reporting, stakeholder communication, and project close-out activities.
Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship (essential requirement) due to Defence project requirements.
- Current or previously held (within the last 2 years) Baseline Security Clearance (essential requirement).
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 8 - 18 months of experience in project coordination, contract administration, project engineering, or construction delivery roles.
- General Construction Induction - White Card (essential).
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound understanding of project delivery, budgeting, cost management, and contract administration principles.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and exposure to project management, cost control, and reporting systems.
Desirable Experience:
- Exposure to remedial construction, refurbishment, façade, building, or Defence projects will be highly regarded.
