ACEREZ, a partnership involving ACCIONA, COBRA, and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed by EnergyCo as the network operator for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network, encompassing design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will undertake the design and build of this project. The new transmission network infrastructure is projected to deliver a minimum of 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028, connecting 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, sufficient to power over 2 million homes annually.

Job Description

Contribute to the evolution of Australia's clean energy sector by joining our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project as a Labourer. As part of our Transmission Lines team, you will provide construction, stringing, and installation support for high-voltage transmission lines and associated infrastructure.

This is a remote project role operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is provided from Sydney, with multiple pick-up and drop-off points between Sydney and the Mudgee region. Applicants residing within NSW outside the Sydney transport route will be required to Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) at their own expense. This is not a FIFO role. Candidates residing outside NSW must arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or the site if successful.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the erection and installation of transmission line structures and components.
• Support conductor stringing, sagging, and tensioning activities.
• Carry and handle materials, including poles, fittings, and hardware.
• Assist rigging crews, dogmen, and crane operators during lifting operations.
• Perform general civil and transmission line construction labouring duties.
• Adhere strictly to site safety and environmental procedures.
• Work at heights and in remote conditions as required.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in civil construction or transmission line work (preferred).
• Construction White Card.
• Working at Heights ticket (preferred).
• Basic rigging or dogman ticket (desirable).
• Physically fit and able to work in remote outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and police check.
