The Project The Alkimos Desalination Plant Project encompasses the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the plant, with first production commencing in 2028. Project works involve marine structures and tunnels, a seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, a groundwater system, drinking water storage and pumping infrastructure, supported by civil, electrical, and bulk earthworks.

The Role Your responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical plant and equipment across the site. This encompasses the seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, pumping systems, and groundwater infrastructure. Daily tasks involve interpreting and working from technical drawings, fitting and aligning rotating equipment, and collaborating with boilermakers, electricians, and other trades to ensure project progression.

Requirements

• A trade qualification as a mechanical fitter, or equivalent practical experience.
• A robust understanding of pumps, valves, and rotating equipment.
• A demonstrable commitment to safety as a primary focus.
• Experience on large infrastructure or industrial projects is highly regarded.
