Operations Manager

Predictive Recruitment Partners is seeking an Operations Manager on behalf of Trasan Contracting. This full-time, onsite position is based in Karratha and offers a salary of $170,000 - $175,000 plus superannuation and a vehicle.

Trasan Contracting, a family-owned, multi-disciplinary building services company established in Karratha in 1997, has a strong reputation across the Pilbara region. They provide quality construction and maintenance services to clients in the resource, public, industrial, commercial, and private property sectors, having delivered projects for organisations such as Woodside, the Pilbara Ports Authority, Horizon Power, and local and state government. Trasan prioritises local employment and community engagement through sponsorships and involvement in local initiatives.

This senior leadership role reports directly to the Managing Director and carries broad accountability for Trasan's Karratha operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing the full operational performance of the business.
• Overseeing project delivery across multiple concurrent jobs.
• Leading and developing the team.
• Managing procurement and logistics.
• Maintaining QHSE standards.
• Supporting the commercial success of the business.

Key accountabilities include:

• Project Delivery: Ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Trasan's quality standards, with 90% or more delivered on target.
• Procurement and Logistics: Coordinating all materials, plant, and transport between workshop and project sites to achieve zero critical delays.
• QHSE Management: Maintaining all quality, health, safety, and environmental documentation to an audit-ready standard and fostering a zero-harm safety culture.
• Labour Utilisation: Achieving 95% or greater labour recovery across workshop and site-based personnel.
• Workforce Leadership: Developing, retaining, and managing the performance of Trasan's people in collaboration with the Managing Director.
• Commercial Support: Assisting with quoting and ensuring quoted jobs are profitable and consistent with Trasan's annual operating plan.

The successful candidate will be a results-oriented, analytical leader with high personal standards and a drive to achieve. They will thrive in fast-paced, multi-project environments, possess the composure to make sound decisions under pressure, and lead from the front with clear communication, direct accountability, and follow-through. Technical capability and commercial astuteness are essential, including the ability to read job cost reports, identify margin risks, and take corrective action. Initiative, problem identification, and direct communication with stakeholders at all levels are expected.
