Job Summary The Coordinator will manage multiple concurrent projects, offering specialist advice, resolving intricate access and logistics challenges, and ensuring adherence to regulatory, safety, and airport standards. This role involves extensive engagement with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external authorities to maintain safe, efficient, and coordinated traffic and logistics operations throughout the program.
Major Responsibilities
- Planning / Productivity
- Ensure contractor work addresses and eliminates personnel and environmental hazards.
- Confirm that risk analyses, health risk assessments, and work method statements are in place, where required.
- Coordinate site access logistics for designated areas, ensuring efficient ingress and egress for all personnel and equipment.
- Address and resolve any site access issues that may arise during the project.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure timely and compliant site transport plans are prepared.
- Monitor heavy haul operations for compliance with approved plans and applicable codes.
- Coordinate the execution of heavy haul operations and abnormal site transport movements, aligning schedules with Project Controls.
- Assess and plan heavy transport requirements, assisting in the preparation of the Construction Equipment Schedule (CES) and construction environment management plans.
- Safety & Quality
- Monitor project teams' implementation and enforcement of policies, procedures, and work rules established by project management.
- Actively monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements and encourage safe work practices.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of related construction systems, engineering applications, and construction methods and materials for major infrastructure or aviation projects.
- Knowledge of related construction practices, associated economics, and current design and construction methodologies.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver leadership and influence behavioural change within large organisations and with external entities.
- Ability to influence and engage collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining appropriate commercial awareness.
- Prior experience in a delivery partner or client-side project management role is preferred but not essential.
