Project Engineer – Contract Opportunity

Engi Advisory is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a contract role within our Sydney NSW-based team. This position offers a pivotal opportunity to manage construction projects from commencement to conclusion.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and subcontractors for seamless project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, drawings, and correspondence.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Manage project budgets and cost tracking, liaising with finance teams on expenditure.
• Communicate project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Problem-solve technical and logistical challenges during construction phases.
• Collaborate with design teams and engineers to address site-specific requirements and modifications.

What We're Looking For:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Marine and barge experience within the civil infrastructure industry is important.
• 3–5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the construction industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, and cost management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with project management software and digital tools commonly used in construction.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
• Knowledge of TfNSW construction regulations and building codes is preferred.
