A respected and active Tier 2 builder is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. This role will focus on commercial new build projects with values up to $350 million. The company's project portfolio spans various sectors, including data centres, education, aged care, health, and industrial developments, with individual projects reaching up to $350 million.

The organisation is seeking a versatile Project Engineer with procurement experience. Project Engineers in this business are treated similarly to Assistant Project Managers, thus an understanding of this function is required. This presents a significant opportunity for an individual to advance their career with a clear path towards Project Management.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, contracts, and change orders.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to management on milestones and any emerging issues.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Track expenses and furnish regular updates to management.
• Identify and resolve issues, escalating to management when necessary.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer on projects exceeding $30 million.
• Proven experience working for a Tier 1, 2, or 3 builder.
• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering within the construction industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• A demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• A detail-oriented approach with an analytical mindset.
• Reliable references.
• Must currently reside in Australia to be considered for this position.
• Experience working on commercial type projects within Australia.
