Our client is a well-established building contractor focused on design, undertaking fitout, refurbishment, commercial, and industrial projects across multiple states. Their project history includes premium hospitality and retail fitouts, office refurbishments, data centre works, and industrial builds for prominent Australian brands. Repeat business from national clients reflects their approach: collaborative, transparent, and focused on lasting quality. With a strong project pipeline extending into 2027, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their delivery team.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will assume complete responsibility for concurrent fitout and commercial projects. Responsibilities include:

• Leading projects from inception to completion, encompassing programming, procurement, cost control, delivery, and handover.
• Managing client relationships with national retail, hospitality, and commercial brands.
• Engaging, negotiating with, and managing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Driving programme, budget, and quality outcomes for projects in live environments and those on fast-track schedules.
• Overseeing site teams and ensuring WHS compliance across all projects.
• Collaborating with in-house designers and estimators from the initial project stages.

About You

• Minimum of 5 years' project management experience within a fitout, refurbishment, or commercial building context.
• Demonstrated delivery of projects in live environments, such as retail, hospitality, or commercial settings.
• Strong commercial acumen, including head contract and subcontract management, variations, and cost reporting.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with an ability to build relationships that foster repeat business.
• A trade or tertiary qualification in construction management or a related field.
• Experience with fast-track programmes and managing multiple concurrent projects is highly regarded.
