We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of structural steel and metalwork packages from project award through to completion. This position is suitable for an individual with experience in structural steel, commercial construction, subcontractor management, site coordination, or project delivery, who is prepared to assume project ownership with the backing of a skilled team. While comprehensive knowledge is not expected from day one, a suitable attitude, construction understanding, organisational skills, and a willingness to learn are as valued as direct steel experience. You will work closely with the Construction Manager, site teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and head contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Assist in managing projects from award to completion.
- Coordinate site activities, supervisors, and subcontractor crews.

- Support the resolution of site issues as they arise.
- Commercial Management
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assist with preparing variations, progress claims, and EOT-related documentation.
- Review subcontractor costs, claims, and payments.
- Support the business in maintaining project margins.
- Program & Coordination
- Help develop and maintain project programs.
- Coordinate shop drawings, procurement, fabrication, and installation timing.
- Follow up on material ordering, deliveries, and site readiness.
- Identify issues that may affect time, cost, or quality.
- Contract Administration
- Assist with RFIs, document control, and project correspondence.
- Attend site and progress meetings as required.
- Track key project requirements and deadlines.
- Report on project progress, risks, and upcoming priorities.
About You

- Strong organisation and follow-up abilities.
- The capacity to manage competing priorities.
- A willingness to learn the commercial and technical aspects of steel project delivery.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced construction environment.
Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders, infrastructure projects, Australian construction contracts, or fabrication-to-site workflows would be helpful, but is not essential.
