About the Role

Based in the South East of Melbourne and reporting to the Construction Manager, this role involves the comprehensive management of Residential New Build/Estate construction projects. Your responsibility will be to ensure these projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As the primary client contact, you will lead project planning, commercial management, and stakeholder engagement, while also mentoring and developing your project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of residential new estate projects from tender handover through to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, profitability, procurement, and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee contract administration, progress claims, variations, and extensions of time.
  • Lead project planning, programming, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project performance through KPI reporting and cost reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery and business processes.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Project Engineers and site teams.
  • Foster a positive, high-performing culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

About You

You are a confident leader with a drive for quality outcomes and building strong relationships. You excel in a fast-paced environment, enjoy tackling complex challenges, and possess the ability to motivate teams towards exceptional results.

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil preferred).
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Proven experience managing civil construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract administration and project financial management.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A thorough understanding of civil construction practices, procurement, estimating, and project planning.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • High-level communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
